Creative Exchange course terms and conditions

Courses

Owing to our commitment to continuous improvement we reserve the right to change the course content and/or trainers. We cannot guarantee to run a course if there are fewer than six delegates booked onto it. In the event that a course has to be cancelled due to low delegate numbers, we will endeavour to give a minimum of 5 working days' notice of cancellation. This notice period will apply to all course cancellations.

Confirmation and payment

On receipt of your booking, a confirmation letter will be sent and an invoice will be raised.  

Cancellation

All cancellations of course bookings must be made in writing, this may be in the form of:

A phone call will not be accepted as a means of cancellation. All bookings will remain on our system until written confirmation is received. Should you have any queries regarding your booking, please call 0800 678 3311.

Cancellations will incur the following charges:

  • More than 28 days before the course, you will be entitled to a 90% refund
  • 15-28 days before the course, you will be entitled to a 50% refund
  • Less than 14 days before the course you will not be entitled to a refund
  • The full course fee will be charged for any delegates not attending/who do not arrive for a course for which a place has been booked.

Substitutions

If you are unable to attend, a substitute participant is generally acceptable. Notification should be given at least one working day in advance. Some courses may incur an administration fee for the change.

The University of Derby Publication Scheme

  • To help with our obligations under FOI, University of Derby has already produced a Publication Scheme.
  • This details the types of information the University routinely provides to the public and how the public may access the information.
  • It includes things like the University structure and organisation, its services and procedures, practices, and guidelines.
  • In addition from 1 January 2005, the public has the right to ask for information which is not contained in the University publication scheme.
  • Please use the 'Request for Information' form to submit your request for any information not included in the University Publication Scheme.
